Today we woke up pretty early in order to grab breakfast before we set out for our 3
rd and final day exploring Chicago.
After eating we made our way to the river to take a Chicago Architectural Foundation Boat Tour of the city (much thanks to Jonathan for arranging some discounted tickets).
This was a 90 minute tour up and down the Chicago River with a guide who knew A LOT of information about Chicago’s architectural history.
It was sunny and warm, basically a perfect day for a cruise down the river, and we both enjoyed it very much.

We then made our way over to the Navy Pier on Lake Michigan to take a Segway tour of the city, but they had canceled the tour that we were trying to take, so we ended up going to Harry Caray’s restaurant to try some local brew.

| The Bartman Ball |
There was also a very cool sports memorabilia hallway at Harry Caray’s where (among other things) we saw Elvis Presley’s sunglasses, one of Ari Gold’s suits, and the “foul” ball from the Cubs/Bartman incident that the restaurant had bought after the fact for more than $160,000 and then completely destroyed. We walked around the pier for a bit before heading back to the apartment to get ready for dinner and a night at a comedy club.

| Area in town where The Second City comedy club is |
After a delicious dinner in Greek Town we headed up to The Second City comedy club, where dozens of famous Saturday Night Live Members got their start. Since we were early for the show, which was a free admission improv show, we decided to check out a highly recommended Mexican restaurant with an enormous tequila selection. These fine libations were a great way to wash down our dinner and to get ready to laugh it up at the improv show, which ended up being hilarious. We hiked home after the show and went to bed so that we could get up early and get on the road to St. Louis bright and early in the am.
